August 1, 2018 – In order to fortify the familial relationship of Our Lady of Caysasay Academy (OLCA) and their adopted school, Academia de San Isidro Labrador (ADSIL), the Student Committee (SC) of OLCA, along with the class presidents and vice presidents of grades 8 to 12, organized a Buddy Building Day for them in the ADSIL campus.
The preparation for the program started a week before the culminating day where the SC officers began collecting funds to buy souvenirs for the ADSILians and prizes for the games. Every class president and vice president brought candies and snacks as prizes for the different games they are to play and as they went to ADSIL, they were paired up with two students in a classroom, both to be considered as their “buddy” for the entire year.
Before going to ADSIL, the officers were given their assigned class and year levels where they spent time with. The program was launched with a prayer and the introduction of the OLCAns for every section and then progressed with different party games that brought out the amusement of the Kinder to Grade 6 student of ADSIL. The main game, the obstacle course, was held at the stage of ADSIL headed by Juliana Marie Evangelista, the SC President, with the participation of the presidents and vice presidents involved. The buddy building day was concluded with the giving of souvenirs for the ADSILians that symbolizes memories and friendship.
