Be-Cool, It’s Bicol!
By Sir Fancis De Castro

This is my third travelogue for this academic year 2015-2016. This time, it’s purely leisure, no work, no side trip for business related matters. Just fun and excitement.
How do I go about with this one without an account of a very-long night travel from Batangas on May 25 to Camarines Sur the following day? With four hired vans and a school service van, every one of us most especially the first timers were so excited with travel bags, pillows and litter bags (oops for motion sickness). At around 9:30 in the evening, we left for the trip taking the Cuenca-Lipa route bound for San Juan going down south to the marvel that is Bicolandia.
The trip that spells eternity began. It took us 10 hours ( with at least four stopovers for each van lasting from 10 minutes to 20 minutes each) before we reached Naga City, Camarines Sur. Venturing on an almost half a day land trip nearly exhausted us and reaching the first province on our Bicol trip was a relief beyond words.

Archdioceses of N. Segovia and Lipa converge for the Servant of God, Bishop Alfredo Verzosa
By Sir Fancis De Castro

A number of representatives from the Archdiocese of Lipa and Archdiocese of Nueva Segovia attended the Formal Closing of the Diocesan Process of the Cause of Beatification and Canonization of Servant of God, April 2, 2016 at St. Paul Metropolitan Cathedral, Vigan City, Ilocos Sur.
Most. Rev. Marlo M. Peralta, DD, Archbishop of Nueva Segovia presided the ceremonies. He served as the Judge of the Tribunal which has been overseeing the cause for Bishop Versoza’s beatification and canonization. The other members of the tribunal were Rev. Msgr. Gary Noel Formoso, PC, JCD as Judge Delegate, Rev. Abbot Santos Rabang, STL as Promoter of Justice, Sr. Mary Gwendolyn Condor, MCSH as Notary and Rev. Fr. Samson S. Silloriquez, OAR as Postulator. The Diocesan Tribunal has been responsible for gathering testimonies regarding the life and virtues of the Servant of God.

From jaywalking to village trekking
By: Francis B. De Castro

This is not a typical travelogue which features the marvels of a place, its people, and the excitement of travel itself. However, with the same tasteful sharing of experiences, this one is more than a travelogue, more than a journal entry. It is a piece of life, life that is lived after horror of devastation, a story worth sharing.

OLCA adopts AdSIL
By Dane Monique Banta

OLCA, supportive of One USAL (Unified Schools of the Archdiocese of Lipa), One Governance platforms recently adopted Academia de San Isidro Labrador, a small school in the nearby municipality of San Luis, Batangas. It has DepED recognition numbers for NKP (Nursery, Kindergarten and Preparatory) and Elementary, K-052, s. 2011 and E-188, s. 2014, respectively.
