Be-Cool, It’s Bicol!
By Sir Fancis De Castro
This is my third travelogue for this academic year 2015-2016. This time, it’s purely leisure, no work, no side trip for business related matters. Just fun and excitement.
How do I go about with this one without an account of a very-long night travel from Batangas on May 25 to Camarines Sur the following day? With four hired vans and a school service van, every one of us most especially the first timers were so excited with travel bags, pillows and litter bags (oops for motion sickness). At around 9:30 in the evening, we left for the trip taking the Cuenca-Lipa route bound for San Juan going down south to the marvel that is Bicolandia.
The trip that spells eternity began. It took us 10 hours ( with at least four stopovers for each van lasting from 10 minutes to 20 minutes each) before we reached Naga City, Camarines Sur. Venturing on an almost half a day land trip nearly exhausted us and reaching the first province on our Bicol trip was a relief beyond words.
